Definition:
 
1. ban something: to prohibit something that is considered undesirable by those in authority

2. condemn something: to denounce or condemn something

3. banish somebody: to banish or exile somebody

4. outlaw somebody publicly: especially in ancient Rome, to state publicly that somebody is no longer protected by the law
