Definition:
 
1. picture done quickly and roughly: a drawing or painting that is done quickly without concern for detail. A sketch might be made to capture the general mood of a scene, or to help the artist work out an idea for a finished composition.

2. short performance: a quick comic routine or piece of acting that is part of a variety show or comedy revue

3. rough description or explanation: a short written or spoken account that conveys just a general outline or idea, with little detail

4. short piece of writing: a short, often descriptive piece of writing

5. short musical composition: a short piece of instrumental music, often for piano
