Definition:
 
1. uncontrolled slide: an uncontrolled slide across a surface in a wheeled vehicle

2. aircraft runner: a runner on the underside of an aircraft, used as part of its landing gear

3. pallet: a low pallet on which goods are loaded for handling or transport

4. pole used to form track: one of two or more logs or poles used to form a track for sliding or rolling something along, e.g. from a truck to the ground

5. mechanical engineering block used to prevent wheel turning: a shoe or block used to prevent a wheel from turning, e.g. when a vehicle is descending a hill

6. nautical ship's fender: a wooden structure hung over the side of a ship to protect the ship in loading and unloading cargo

1. transitive and intransitive verb slide dangerously across surface: to slide across a surface, or make a vehicle slide across a surface, usually unintentionally, so that the wheels lose their grip and control is lost
