Definition:
 
1. thick piece: a thick flat broad piece of something, especially when cut or trimmed

2. stone base for something: a flat rectangular base or foundation of concrete or stone

3. geology sheet of rock: a smooth flat sheet of rock sharply angled to the horizontal

4. waste from log: any large outer section of a log that is sawed off in manufacturing lumber
