Definition:
 
1. grammatical case of somebody addressed: a grammatical case that indicates that somebody or something is being directly addressed by the speaker. In Julius Caesar's dying words to Brutus"et tu, Brute," "Brute" is in the vocative.

2. word in vocative: a word or form in the vocative case
