verb  (past and past participle boiled, present participle boil·ing, 3rd person present singular boils)
Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb heat to or reach boiling point: to heat a liquid until it forms bubbles and turns to gas, or to reach this state

2. transitive and intransitive verb contain or cause to contain boiling liquid: to contain liquid that has reached the boiling point, or cause the liquid in a container to boil

3. transitive and intransitive verb cook in boiling liquid: to cook something by submerging it in boiling liquid for a period of time, or be cooked in this way
