disorder affecting fingers and toes: spasms of the arteries of the fingers and toes, usually brought on by cold, causing the hands and feet to become pale, cold, numb, and sometimes painful. Causes include diseases of the arteries, rheumatoid arthritis, and repeated trauma to the fingers.
