Definition:
 
1. mark on skin after damage: a mark left on the skin after a wound, burn, or sore has healed over

2. mental effect of distressing experience: a lasting effect left on somebody's mind by a personal misfortune or unpleasant experience

3. mark on surface: a mark on a surface caused by damage

4. botany mark of former attachment on plant: the mark on a plant indicating the place where a part such as a leaf was formerly attached
