St. Vincent and the Grenadines

St. Vin·cent and the Gren·a·dines [ saynt vìnsənt ənd ə grènnə dnz ] independent state in the Caribbean comprising the island of St. Vincent and 32 of the islands of the Grenadine group. It became an independent member of the British Commonwealth in 1979.
Capital: Kingstown.
Population: 116,812 (2003).
