Definition:
 
1. tool for breaking up hard surfaces: a tool used for breaking up hard surfaces, consisting of a long handle and a curved metal head that is pointed at one end and either pointed or like a chisel at the other

2. small tool for breaking into pieces: a small tool used to break up something into smaller pieces ( often used in combination )
