Definition:
 
1. shoot something by aiming carefully: to shoot somebody or something selected as a target and deliberately aimed at, usually from a distance, or shoot a number of targets one by one

2. intercept pass: in some sports such as football, to intercept a pass

3. put out base runner: in baseball, to put out a base runner caught off base, often when trying to steal the next base
