Definition:
 
1. assumed identity or role: an identity or role that somebody assumes

2. character in literature: a character in a literary work, especially a play ( often used in the plural )

3. psychology psychoanalysis personal facade: the image of character and personality that somebody wants to show the outside world. This concept originated in Jungian psychology.
