periphrastic

per·i·phras·tic [ pèrrə frástik ]

adjective
Definition:

1. using periphrasis: relating to or using periphrasis

2. not formed with inflections: formed using two or more words rather than an inflected form, especially used to describe a verb tense formed using an auxiliary verb rather than by inflecting the main verb. "Did you have" is a periphrastic equivalent of archaic "had you."

[Early 19th century. < Greek periphrastikos< periphrazein (see periphrasis)]
