Definition:
 
1. somebody who shares activity: somebody who is involved in an activity with somebody else
his partner in crime

2. member of relationship: either member of an established couple in a relationship

3. fellow participant in sexual activity: either of two people who have sex together

4. associate in dance or game: somebody who dances with somebody else, or plays with somebody else on the same side in a game

5. business business associate: an owner of part of a company, usually a company he or she works in, who shares both the financial risks and the profits of the business

6. something related: something that is related in some way to something else

7. nautical supporting timber on ship: one of the timbers on a ship underneath the deck that is used to support the mast ( often used in the plural )
