Definition:
 
1. conditional release of prisoner: the early release of a prisoner, conditioned on good behavior and regular reporting to the authorities for a set period of time
He's out on parole.

2. prisoner's promise: the promise to fulfill set conditions, given by a prisoner released on parole

3. conditional period: the period of time during which a released prisoner remains on parole

4. U.S. prisoner of war's promise: a promise, given by a prisoner of war as a condition of release, either not to escape or not to take up arms again

5. linguistics real-world language: language considered as the utterances of real people, as distinct from the system of language langue that governs how those utterances are constructed.
