1. district with own church: in the Episcopal, Roman Catholic, and some other churches, a division of a diocese that has its own church and member of the clergy ( often used before a noun )

2. politics administrative area in Louisiana: an administrative area in the state of Louisiana that corresponds to a county in other states

3. people of parish: the people who live in a parish ( takes a singular or plural verb )
