Definition:
 
1. platform for loads: a standardized platform or open-ended box, usually made of wood, that allows mechanical handling of bulk goods during transport and storage

2. clay-working tool: a wooden tool similar to a knife, used to mix and shape ceramic clay

3. board for drying ceramics: a board on which ceramic pieces are dried

4. gilding tool: a tool for manipulating gold leaf in gilding

5. mechanical engineering regulating lever in timepiece: a lever that regulates a ratchet wheel, especially one that regulates the movement of the balance wheel or pendulum in a timepiece by transmitting movements from the escape wheel. The pallet's function is to convert rotary to reciprocating motion, or vice versa.
