Definition:
 
1. bind somebody or something: to tie somebody or something up tightly

2. cooking tie something for cooking: to prepare meat for roasting by tying it into a neat shape. Birds such as chickens and turkeys are trussed to keep wings and legs close to the body.

3. civil engineering support something with load-bearing members: to support or strengthen a roof, bridge, or other elevated structure with a network of beams and bars

4. medicine support hernia: to support a hernia with a specially designed device
