Transvaal
Trans·vaal [ tránz vl ] independent Afrikaner-dominated territory in South Africa that became a province in the Union of South Africa in 1910. In 1994 the region was divided into the three provinces that are now Gauteng, Limpopoe, and Mpumalanga.
