transitive verb 
Definition:
 
1. medicine give blood to somebody: to administer blood obtained from one person into the bloodstream of another person

2. medicine put fluid into somebody's bloodstream: to administer a fluid such as saline or plasma into somebody's bloodstream to replace lost fluid

3. transfer something by pouring: to pour something from one container into another ( formal or technical )

4. spread throughout something: to spread throughout something and affect every part of it
