Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb ring slowly and repeatedly: to ring a bell, repeatedly and with long pauses between each ring, especially to announce a death, or be rung in this way

2. transitive verb announce something with bell: to announce something or call somebody with the repeated slow ringing of a bell
bells tolling the death of the king

3. transitive verb lure fish or game: to lure fish or game into being caught
