Definition:
 
1. surroundings: the surroundings or environment in which something exists or takes place
a lovely setting for the wedding

2. operational level of device: something, often represented by a mark on a dial or scale, that determines how a machine will operate, e.g. at what temperature or speed

3. surroundings of jewel: the metal fixture into which a jewel is fixed
