| Ti·er·ra del Fue·go [ tee èrrə del fwáygō ] archipelago off the southern tip of South America. Separated from the mainland by the Strait of Magellan, and bordered by the Atlantic, the Antarctic, and the Pacific oceans, the islands belong partly to Argentina and partly to Chile. |
