Definition:
 
1. pass for entertainment: a printed piece of cardboard or paper showing that the holder is entitled to admission to a place of public entertainment or a sports facility

2. travel pass: a printed piece of cardboard or paper showing that the holder is entitled to be traveling on a means of transport

3. notification of traffic offense: a printed notice that a traffic or parking offense has been committed and a fine must be paid

4. label or tag: a small piece of card attached to an article, showing the price or other details

5. politics group of candidates running together: a list of candidates put forward by one party or group in an election

6. precisely what is needed: the right, just, desired, or appropriate thing ( informal )
A month in Europe would be just the ticket.

7. transportation qualification of pilot or ship's officer: a certificate of qualification as a ship's captain or an aircraft pilot
