1. temple in Jerusalem: either of two successive temples in Jerusalem. The First Temple was built by Solomon in 957 bc and destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar II in 586 bc. The Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in ad 70.

2. Templar building: either of two groups of buildings in Paris and London built on sites that once belonged to the Knights Templar. The London site is now the home of two of the Inns of Court.
