Tanzania

Tan·za·ni·a [ tànzə n ə ] country in East Africa, including the islands of Zanzibar and Pemba. It became an independent member of the British Commonwealth, as Tanganyika, in 1961. It changed its name to Tanzania after the union with Zanzibar in 1964.
