transitive verb 
Definition:
 
1. make somebody sensitive: to make somebody sensitive, especially to a situation

2. make somebody allergic: to induce undue sensitivity in somebody to a substance such as a food ingredient or drug so that subsequent exposure to the substance triggers an allergic reaction

3. photog make film sensitive to light: to make a photographic film, plate, or other medium sensitive to light by coating it with an emulsion
