1. turn off equipment: to turn off a piece of electrical equipment, or be turned off

2. stop paying attention: to stop paying attention, lose interest, or stop thinking about something, or make somebody do this ( informal )

3. take turns: to do something one after the other in turns, or occur alternately ( informal )
We switch off working Saturdays.
