Definition:
 
1. transitive verb hang something from above: to hang something from above, especially so that it can swing freely

2. transitive verb stop something for period: to stop something or make something ineffective, usually for a short time

3. transitive verb bar somebody for period: to bar somebody from a privilege, a position, or an organization, usually when under suspicion of wrongdoing

4. transitive verb postpone something: to delay or defer action on a decision or a judgment until more of the facts are known

5. transitive verb chemistry disperse something in liquid: to cause particles to be dispersed in a liquid or gas

6. transitive verb music sustain note: to hold a note until the next note or chord is sounded, so that they are heard together
