Definition:
 
1. exceed expectations: to go beyond what was expected or hoped for, usually by being bigger, better, or greater

2. do better than somebody or something: to be bigger, greater, better, or worse than somebody or something else

3. be beyond somebody's ability: to be beyond somebody's ability to deal with or understand ( formal )
