1. small brightly colored bird: a small brightly colored songbird with a long thin curved beak, which feeds on insects and nectar. Native to: South and Southeast Asia, Africa, Australia.  Family Nectariniidae.

2. somebody wintering in Sunbelt: a person from the northern United States, usually a retiree, who spends the winter months in the Sunbelt ( informal )
