Suf·folk [ súffək ] county in eastern England. It is largely agricultural. Ipswich is the county town.
Population: 668,548 (2001).
Area: 3,800 sq km (1,467 sq mi.) city in southeastern Virginia, burned by the British in 1779 and occupied by Union troops in 1862.
Population: 69,966 (2002 estimate).
