Sen·e·ca [ sénnəkə ] (plural Sen·e·ca or Sen·e·cas)

Definition:
 
1. member of Native N American people: a member of an Iroquois people who lived in western New York and who now mainly live there and in southern Ontario, Canada. The Seneca were one of the five peoples who formed the Iroquois Confederacy, which later became known as the Six Nations.

2. Seneca language: the Iroquoian language of the Seneca people. It now has few speakers.
