1. transitive and intransitive verb add fuel: to add fuel to a fire and stir it up to make it burn more intensely

2. transitive and intransitive verb tend boiler: to be responsible for adding fuel to and tending a boiler or furnace

3. transitive verb make extremely enthusiastic: to make somebody feel extremely eager, enthusiastic, and excited about doing something ( slang )
