Spelling Note

stile or style? Do not confuse the spelling of stile and style, which sound similar. Stile is a noun denoting a means of climbing over a fence or wall, or a noun denoting a vertical piece in a door or frame; it is also found in the compound word turnstile. Style is a noun or verb referring to the way something is done, designed, written, etc., as in different styles of architecture, have your hair styled.
