Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb direct vehicle: to guide the direction of movement of something such as a motor vehicle or ship using a steering wheel, rudder, or other device

2. intransitive verb maneuver in particular way: to go or move in a particular way or direction when being driven or propelled
This car steers to the left.

3. transitive verb influence somebody in particular direction: to encourage somebody to take a particular course or route by unobtrusively guiding them

4. intransitive verb follow course: to follow a particular course
