1. cut of beef: a thick slice of beef from a lean part of a cow

2. piece of meat or fish: a piece of a meat other than beef, e.g. pork, ham, venison, or veal, or of a large fish such as cod, salmon, or tuna

3. serving of ground meat: ground meat formed into a solid shape, usually a flat roundish shape, and served broiled, fried, or barbecued
