Definition:
 
1. gummed paper paying for postage: a small piece of gummed paper that is stuck on an envelope or package to show that postage has been paid

2. cancellation across postage stamp: a mark put across a postage stamp on an envelope or package to show that the stamp has been used

3. small block for printing design: a small block with a raised design or lettering that can be printed onto paper by inking the block and pressing it to the paper

4. design printed onto paper with stamp: a design printed onto paper using a stamp in order to show that a document has been read, canceled, or officially approved

5. gummed paper as official mark: a piece of printed gummed paper affixed to a document as an official sign of something such as approval or validity
