noun  (plural stalls)
Definition:
 
1. small area selling or dispensing goods: a booth, table, counter, or compartment set up to display goods for sale or information to give out

2. compartment for large animal: a compartment in a building where a single large animal lives or is fed or milked

3. automotive situation in which engine halts: a situation in which an engine stops abruptly because of insufficient fuel, being braked too suddenly, or mechanical failure

4. small room: a very small room, or partitioned area in a room, for a shower or toilet

5. aviation sudden dive by aircraft: a situation in which an aircraft suddenly dives because the airflow is obstructed and lift is lost. The loss of airflow can be caused by insufficient air speed or by an excessive angle of an airfoil when the aircraft is climbing.
