Definition:
 
1. transitive verb cover something up: to cover something up by winding or folding a pliable material such as cloth or paper around it
The package was wrapped in plain brown paper.

2. transitive and intransitive verb coil around something: to wind, fold, or clasp something round somebody or something else, or be wound round somebody or something
He wrapped his arms around the pole and wouldn't let go.

3. transitive verb fold something up: to fold or roll something up into a compact bundle
