1. plant with small drooping flowers: a plant grown from a bulb. Flowers: small, blue, white, pink, or purple, drooping. Native to: Europe, Asia, Africa.  Genus Scilla, Pushkinia.

3. pharmacology dried bulb of sea onion: dried slices of a sea onion's bulb. Use: formerly, expectorant, diuretic.
