Definition:
 
1. device to immobilize broken bone: a strip of rigid material used to keep a broken bone or other injured body part from moving

2. strip of wood used in basketry: a thin strip of wood used to weave something such as a basket or chair seat

3. wood sliver for lighting fires: a sliver of wood used to carry a flame, e.g. to light a fire or a candle

4. woodwork

5. military history metal plate in armor: any overlapping metal plate or strip used in making a suit of armor
