Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb rotate something quickly: to turn round and round rapidly, or make something turn round and round rapidly, as if on an axis
He spun a coin.

2. intransitive verb rotate freely: to revolve or rotate rapidly around an axis
Our wheels spun on the ice.

3. intransitive verb face about quickly: to turn around rapidly to face in the opposite direction

4. transitive and intransitive verb create yarn from raw materials: to twist raw fibers, e.g. of wool, silk, or cotton, so that they form a continuous yarn or thread
