Definition:
 
1. bet on outcome: an agreement between two people that whoever loses a bet on an uncertain outcome will pay the other a specific amount or another form of compensation

2. amount bet: a sum of money, piece of property, or other compensation to be paid to the person who wins a bet

3. history pledge: in former times, a pledge to engage in combat, especially in order to establish guilt or innocence by single combat
