Definition:
 
1. tropical fish with protruding lower jaw: a freshwater fish that has a protruding lower jaw and possesses an accessory organ for breathing atmospheric air in oxygen-depleted water. Many snakeheads are valued as food and others are kept as aquarium fish. Native to: Africa, Asia.  Family Channidae.

2. invasive banned fish: a large predatory fish, capable of surviving out of water for several days and moving over land by wriggling. It is regarded as an injurious species and banned in the United States. Native to: China.  Latin name Channa argus.
