1. sell something below proper value: to sell something at a price below its full or usual value

2. sell more cheaply than somebody: to sell something more cheaply than a competitor

3. advertise something with too little enthusiasm: to present the merits of something or somebody with too little enthusiasm or conviction or in too restrained or understated a way
