Yal·ta [ yáwltə ] resort city in Crimea Region, southern Ukraine. Situated on the Black Sea, it was the site of a conference in 1945 between Joseph Stalin, Franklin Roosevelt, and Winston Churchill that determined the administration of Germany after World War II.
