1. permission to go first: the legal or accepted right of a vehicle or craft to proceed ahead of another

2. right to cross property: the right to cross somebody else's property by a specific route, e.g. as a means of accessing your own property

3. lawful route across somebody's property: a lawful route that may be taken across somebody else's property

4. land used for road or line: a narrow length of land used for the route of a railroad, electric power line, or public road
