Definition:
 
1. pleasant smell: a pleasant sweet smell such as that of a flower
the scent of jasmine

2. smell used as trail: the characteristic smell given off by a person or animal and used especially for tracking
They followed the scent deep into the forest.

3. perfume: cosmetic liquid worn on the skin, especially women's perfume

4. smelling sense: the sense of smell

5. hint: a faint indication that something is likely to happen
There was the scent of danger in the air.
