Definition:
 
1. look for something usable: to search for or through discarded material in order to find something usable

2. feed on carrion or scraps: to feed on dead and rotting flesh or discarded food scraps

3. clean place up: to remove waste material and dirt from an area

4. chemistry get rid of impurities: to neutralize or remove impurities in a chemical reaction or mixture
